    3. I have two : Alexander Elliott (1859-1886) son of James Elliott & Martha Kearns of Cullion, County Donegal Alexander Elliott (1879-?) son of James Elliott (of James & Martha) & Janet Jameson of Cullion. But these two Alexanders were most likely named after Martha's father, Alexander Kearns. - Jane > Date: Wed, 23 Sep 2009 18:08:34 -0700 > From: vjl_47@yahoo.com > To: elliott@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [Elliott] Is Elliott English or Scottish? > > Chuck, > I wonder if we could take a poll of everyone here and see how prevelant the name Andrew is in their family lines...I think that it was uncommon and that since you and I both have Andrews that might be a good thing..:) What does everyone think about that? > > vera > > > > > > Hi Mike, > > Thanks for the input. 3. Sorry - it must have been my 3-day headache that made me put down Alexander instead of Andrew. I do have one Andrew named Andrew Alexander Elliott (1890), son of James Elliott & Janet Jameson of Cullion, as below. - Jane > From: andixj@hotmail.com > To: elliott@rootsweb.com > Date: Thu, 24 Sep 2009 01:46:44 +0000 > Subject: Re: [Elliott] Is Elliott English or Scottish? > > > I have two : > > Alexander Elliott (1859-1886) son of James Elliott & Martha Kearns of Cullion, County Donegal > > Alexander Elliott (1879-?) son of James Elliott (of James & Martha) & Janet Jameson of Cullion. > > But these two Alexanders were most likely named after Martha's father, Alexander Kearns. > > > - Jane > > > > Date: Wed, 23 Sep 2009 18:08:34 -0700 > > From: vjl_47@yahoo.com > > To: elliott@rootsweb.com > > Subject: Re: [Elliott] Is Elliott English or Scottish? > > > > Chuck, > > I wonder if we could take a poll of everyone here and see how prevelant the name Andrew is in their family lines...I think that it was uncommon and that since you and I both have Andrews that might be a good thing..:) What does everyone think about that? > > > > vera > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Mike, > > > > Thanks for the input.
