My ancestors were James & Ella Elliott.I don't know Ella's maiden name. From what I see, James was from Scotland. My Eliotts have lived in the Philadelphia, PA area for many generations and I have been told there is even an old song about the spelling of the Elliott name as written here. I can't find anything to support James's birthplace or where the Eliott family/clan resided. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would greatly appreciate it.
