Was he a son-in-law; perhaps married to Mary ELLIS, dau of Edmond? The only other record I have found for Joshua ELLIOTT is the following deed record: Book N, pages 225, 226: February 12, 1807 Joshua Elliott (Spartanburg) to Joseph Deason for 100a. on head of Green's Creek of Pacolet River; border: David Jones, Howell, Connell. Wit. Henry Littlejohn and Benjamin Deason. Signed Joshua Elliott. Wit. oath Oct. 15, 1811 Henry Littlejohn to John Lipscomb. Recorded Jan 11, 1813.
