Hambleton Elliott (1815-1893) was born on Kent Island to Capt. John Elliott (1780-1829) and his wife Elizabeth Hambleton Elliott (d. 1824). Other children were Rebecca, Harriet, Thomas and Oliver. I have photos and much material on William who became Rev. William S. H. Elliott, D.D., a Methodist minister who had an interesting and successful career in and around Philadelphia and environs. He had 4 children, Kate Hambleton Elliott who remained single, and Adele Elliott who married Sterling G. Valentine, Ph.D. from whom I am descended; James Smith Elliott, and : Mary Rebecca Elliott (who married Peter Cockey) who lived on Kent Island and had a daughter Katherine Elliott Cockey who married William Trystram Stevens (1868-1892) who had 4 children William Trystram, Mary, William Elliott, and Katharine Stevens.
