Hi Leslie- If you type in 'Ancestry World Tree' you will find a number of Johnston Elliotts, starting about 1719 and going at least to 1812.The first was presumably born in 1719 or 1721 in Danzig, East Prussia,(or perhaps elsewhere) now Gdansk,Poland.This Johnson's mom was Mary Johnston, hence his first name. I have Elizabeth Elliott, presumably born in Maghera or Maghera townland in Co. Londonderry in 1720.I thought this might connect with this line, but it does not seem to.That is all the early info I have on my Elizabeth,who married Maj .David Archibald, and lived around Truro, Nova Scotia.
