I found in a book entitled "Captain George elliott of the Virginia Navy" written by Anne Elliott Odell the following: issue of Capt. George Elliott (1728-1814) and (1) 1786 Charity Jane Addidle 1. Midshipman Alexander Elliott (1) Ann (Nancy) Conway Campbell; (2) 1809 Mary (Polly) Stotts; d Adair Co., Ky. 2. William Elliott (c1764-a1814) m. (1) Dec 12, 1785 Agnes cCampbell, dau. of Samuel McCampbell in Augusta Co., VA; (2) Margaret Arnold in Lincoln Co., KY; 1802 he signed as Testee for his father in Garrard Co. giving Power of Atty to son Alex. Elliott. In 1814 he was decd. for "the heirs of Wm. Elliott are to receive", etc. On Apr. 7, 1836 these five heirs rec'd warrants #226 and #227 for extra land issued to Capt. Geo. Elliott's heirs.
