John had at least 9 children and 2 wives: 1st wife: Rebecca Steele, born 2/18/1801, in Augusta, Virginia, and died May 21, 1844 James S. Elliott born May 2, 1828 (my GG-Grandfather) William B. Elliott born 1830 died in infancy age 1 Samuel Peter Elliott born 1832, died in 1897 Margaret Jane Elliott born 1835 died in infancy Estaline (Elliott) Barker born 1837 Martha Ann Elliott born 1839 2nd wife: Mariah Moore, was born 1808 and died in 1862. Emily Elliott born 1848 (also have seen it written Emma) James T. Elliott born 1849 (also have seen this written JT) Phebe J.
