I have one question, however. The book does not, that I can find, provide any documentary reference to the marriage of Robert 15th of Redheugh and Jean Scott, whom the book refers to as "a beloved sister of the family of Buccleuch", and who married subsequently Gavin Elliot of Baillilie & Stobs. Nor have I been able to find any reference to Jean Scott in any of the Scott material I have looked at, including Keith Scott's "Scott: 1118-1923" and William Fraser's "The History of the Scotts of Buccleuch". Does anyone have any information concerning the ancestry of Jean Scott Elliot Elliot, and her relationship to the family of Scott of Buccleuch?? Jeff Pilchard San Francisco, CA P.S.
