Elliott that I am researching in the Jefferson Co and Blount Co area. He is married to Margaret Meriken in 1863. I was looking at the disposition of public lands in Jefferson Co al vol. 1. for clues on him. There are several Elliotts listed there James W. (4 lots) FEb 17, 1885, Peter T. (2 lots) Nov 2, 1881, Stephen W. 2 lots March 26, 1889, and Thomas A. (4 lots) Sept 28, 1882 for 1st lot and Jan 17, 1888 for other three.
