Eleanor 1763 & md. 2nd Isabelle 1789 Botetourt Co., VA. Had 6 issue by Eleanor & 4 by Isabelle. Was a prominent citizen in Bedford, Botetourt Rockbridge & Augusta Counties. Was appointed to route & oversee the building of main roads in these counties. Served on many juries in his county. Was a Justice of the Peace for many yrs.. Died in 1828. Will written 30 July 1827 but not probated until Feb. 1836. I have copy of the will. Believe his parents to be John ELLIOTT and Janet MORRIS. His 2nd wife believed to be a niece to his mother.
