Archibald married Mary A. ?? possibly Allen b 1819 Limestone C. Alabama. Four known children to Archibald: 1. George Elliott b 1838 Mississippi 2. Martha J. Elliott b 1841 Mississippi 3. Andrew Jackson Elliott b 1844 Mississippi 4. William F. Elliott b 1845 Mississippi I descend from George b 1838 Mississippi, who married a Martha Peoples. It is not known if Peoples was her maiden name or the name from her first marriage. She came into the marriage to George Elliott with a daughter named Melvina..who took up the Elliott name. Melvina was born October 6, 1848, died 1915 and married a W.P. Woods b April 12, 1846, died May 1, 1883. Melvina and her husband Mr. Woods had a son. Melvina is possibly buried in Arkansas. George and Martha had other children as well: 1. James Randolph Elliott b Sept. 19, 1857, Chicasaw Co. Miss, died Feb. 10, 1938 and is buried in Resthaven Cemetery, Sperry, Oklahoma. He married in Jenny Lind Arkansas to Georgia Ann Byrum b April 10, 1866 in Sebastian Co, Ark, died Jan 21, 1959, buried beside her husband. 2. William Edgar Elliott b Oct. 6, 1867, Madison Co, Miss, died April 24, 1919. He married Beatrice Amanda Cos b Jan 28, 1885, died Sept. 16 1982. These two are buried in Garland Cemetery, Haskell County, Oklahoma. 3. William M. Elliott b Jan. 13, 1864, Grenada County, Miss, died June 20, 1943 in Henryetta, OK. Married first Lucy Tyler and then to Martha E. Davis. In his first marriage he had a daughters named Beulah and Edith, and a son named Jessie "Bud". Beulah married a John Ross in Redland, OK, Ohemkee County. In his second marriage to Martha Davis, he had one daughter, Dovie Pauline Elliott (my mom). Last year while in OK, I found a death notice that was for a Jack Elliott, son of William M. Elliott, above. In that notice it said he had a sister named Ramona living in Arkansas. I do not know if Jessie and Jack are one in the same, and I have no clue who Ramona is. This is the limb of my personal tree that is in dire need of help. This family lived in McCurtain, OK in 1920, where three of the children were in school at the time, and this was the first marriage (Lucy). Any help on this particular branch would be so very appreciated. 4. George Pinkston Elliott b 1859, died Dec. 24, 1938 or 1939. Married to Laura Jane Keller, daughter of John and Adeline Keller. This family lived in and around Jenny Lind or Ft. Smith, Arkansas. 5. Andrew Jackson Elliott b 1899 Madison Co, Miss, died May 1923 in Oklahoma City, OK. Married in 1884 to Ida Nettie Byrum who died with typhoid in Jenny Lind, Arkansas. He married second to Kate B. born Mar. 3, 1899 and died Sept. 28, 1970. Andrew Jackson Elliott was ordained in 1904 to preach at the Tamaha Baptist Church, in Tamaha, OK. 6. "Bud" Elliott b Madison Co, MIss married Maud (possibly DeArmon). Death info sheet states that Maud died Mar. 10, 1926. I believe these are the parents of Austin J. Elliott b 1901, died 1934, killed and listed as a bandit, riding or affiliated with the Pretty Boy Floyd gang. Two other people killed at the botched robbery were Raymond Moore and Eldon Wilson..believed to be officers. Austin at the time was living in Stigler, OK and died in Sapulpa, OK.
