Hello, I am researching my Elliott relatives, but have hit a brick wall. My gg grandfather, William Edward ELLIOTT was born in approximately 1868, Wangaratta, Victoria Australia. He died in 1951 in Forestgate, London. His father ?? ELLIOTT, was a police constable in Oxley, Victoria Australia, and died of 'low fever' in 1869. His mother, ?? ELLIOTT returned to England with him shortly thereafter. She later married ?? Johnstone (Johnston?) an inspector at Scotland yard. Can anyone offer guidance on how we can find out the names of William Edward's parents or siblings? Thank you, Susan Toronto
