Is anyone related to William Elliott and Elizabeth Elliott his wife who came to Mt Vernon Knox Co OH in 1816. One of their sons was James who died near Fredericktown in June, 1840. James had Joseph, William, Rose, Orange,ELizabeth, James, Alice May according to a Knox Co history. Anyone? Do you have any information on the George Elliott family who came from Ireland to Royalton, Fulton County, Ohio in 1877. He & his family are in the 1880 census (wife Isabella and children Christopher, Mary, John, George, Catherine B, James, William, Johnson, Robert & Sarah Jane). They later moved to Adrian, Michigan in the early 1880s. I have recently narrowed down a bit on my Matthew Elliott b ca 1822 . In your Elliott records, do you have Elliott families in Knox Co, OH, Mt Vernon in particular? I have found records that show Matthew married in 1843 in the Episcopal church in Mt Vernon. Since the bride had no connection to that church, and there are several Elliott women as confirmands, I believe Matthew's family members may have attended that church. Would you have anything to help in my search for Matthew's family? I have the death certs from the LDS pilot search project. I have corresponded with a reasearcher of Peter Whiteman the printer.
