Our father, George Frances, worked for the railroad all his life, we have no info on his family. George ended up in Chicago IL area. I am researching Craddoc Elliott, born December 7, 1820 in VA; and wife, Martha Overby, born July 7 1820 in VA. They married October 10, 1840 in Halifax Co.,VA. Craddoc's parents were Robert Elliott and Mary Elizabeth Childress. Craddoc and Martha lived in Halifax Co., VA; Casewell Co., NC; Christian Co., KY and Ballard Co., KY. Ohio. To my knowledge none of our line went to Indiana. As far back as I have them they came from Pa. Judy

I am looking for the family of Mary Polly Elliott. She was born abt. 1795 in Virginia. I believe she is the daughter of James. She married Anthony Oakes 12 Aug 1807 in Va. and I think they lived in Pittsylvania county. They had six children, Abigail, Bathsheba, Martha, Mary, John Elliott, and Jesse.
