I'm looking for information on Daniel ELLETT/ELLIOTT b. 1792 prob. KY m. Sarah ELLETT b. ca1792.....they were believed to be first cousins.....Sarah's father is Edward ELLETT Sr. b. ca1760/65 and Daniel's father is believed to be a Thomas ELLETT brother of Edward. This family had lived in the Fleming Co.KY area before some of them migrated to Monroe and Owen Co's in IN. I have quite a bit of information on Edward ELLETT, but would like to find more info on Thomas ELLETT father of Daniel. If anyone is connected to this line, I would love to hear from you and will exchange info I have on the line. Thanks so much, N.J.Skinner White in MI......vwhite0901@aol.com

Sorry for the "blank"! My e-mail is acting up..... Frances ELLIOTT, b. 15 Jun 1771, married my 3G Grandfather William BECKHAM 11 Dec 1795. She died 11 Apr 1823. All this is from the family bible purchased by William. Unfortunately he didn't give any locations! The family is on the 1810 Prince William Co., VA census and on the 1820 Loudoun Co., VA census. Family stories have William and family moving to Ohio in 1821. I have never found Frances' grave - neither in VA nor OH. William and his new wife (Mary Caldwell Fleming) appear on the 1830 Licking Co., OH census. I have all the children and their descendents. Any one know of Frances? Gloria in MD GALBINAK@aol.com
Sunny, Archibald Elliott, of the Cherokee Elliott's, is the son of John "Jack" Elliott. Here is the information I gathered from the Guion Miller Roll, Application # 1396 of Hiram Elliott, who is the son of Archibald. Hiram Elliott and 6 children, Big Cabin, Okla. Admitted. Applicant claims his Indian descent through his mother and father and is enrolled by the Dawes commission #8422. His father was Arch Elliott and Arch Elliott derives his Indian blood through his mother, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Foreman. "Elizabeth one (sic) John Elliott, who came to the Indian territory from Georgia about 1838. John Elliot was a white man and was killed in the Territory in the forties. He had several children among them were James, Walter, Abigail, George, Nannie (who married a Carter) and Sallie or Sarah (who married a Springton)................" .SIGNED; Hiram Elliott, Vinita, Okla., Oct 14, 1908." Sounds promising, doesn't it? If you would like a copy of the document, I think I might have it somewhere in my files. Hi all, After reading Sunny's posting I HAD to send in my line. There were a lot of similarities between names, locations and dates and I am hoping maybe someone can do some comparisons and help me chip away at my proverbial "brick wall" My GG Grandfather was Laton Franklin Elliott. He was born either in North Carolina (county unknown) or possibly South Carolina in 1818. (Census records state both states at different times). At some point he moved to Tippah County, MS where he married Rebecca Harden Steel (from Tennessee) in 1847. They had 2 children there, Lucinda Elizabeth in 1848 and Anne in 1850. They then removed apparently to Polk County, Missouri where they were found in the 1860 census. Their other children were: Ninian Lawson B. 1853 Mary Jane B. 1856 William Henry B. 1859 Martha Susanna B. 1862 Laton "Frank" B. 1865 Mondory Isabelle B. 1868 George Washington B. 1873 Laton died in 1888. I have seen the postings with the name Archibald Elliott in the past and it has always caught my attention. One of the sons of my G. Grandfather Laton "Frank" Elliott was named Archibald..it could be coincidence, but I would imagine that Frank would have known the name of his uncles, etc. (and I am so envious of that!)...so could it be that Archibald Elliott of South Carolina and Laton Elliott of N. or S. Carolina were possibly brothers? Cousins? Nothing at all to each other??? Also, I might mention that the child of Laton's first daughter Lucinda (who was born out of wedlock) was named Charles Cebron Elliott..and unusual middle name. As Sunny said in her request..we MUST be connected to SOMEONE out there reading this..we just haven't found that crucial link. If anyone has ANYTHING that might help I will forever be in your debt..I might even mow your lawn, do your dishes, paint your kitchen..anything! :o) Thank you for humoring me... I am reposting in hopes of finding a connection. I know there have to be some relatives out there? My great great grandfather was James Monroe Elliott, born in IL, July 1863, died 1925, buried at Mize Cemetery near Wild Cherry in Fulton County, AR. Came to Arkansas by 1900, maybe earlier. Married Elizabeth Mize born May 1862 in AR. She died in 1947, buried at Mize Cemetery near Wild Cherry in Fulton County, AR. They had the following children: Ida b. Mar 1884, married a William Ratliff Charlie Monroe b. Jan 3, 1886 (my great grandfather), married Mussgrove Williamson Thomas A. Elliott b. Sept. 1887, married A. Graham, died 1926 Ezra born 1990, died 1889 James H. Elliott b. Nov. 1890, died 1918 Elza, born in 1892, died in 1894 Victor I. b. Feb 1895, married Martha Franks, died 1964 Lehman A. b. Sept. 1897, married Hazel Harrington, died 1978 Orion (or Oran) L. b. Sept 1899, died 1976 Nathan G. born Jan 1903, died Oct, 1903 Ruba P. b. 1905-06 (also known as Rubie or Ruby), he went to Kentucky and became the police chief in Paducah, KY. Was married to a Lucy Miller, and died around 1964. This is as far back as I have gotten. If anyone has any information, please let me know. In the 1900 census for Fulton County, AR, James M. stated that his father was born in Indiana and mother born in Kentucky. Then in 1910, he stated both were born in TN. Thanks very much. Hello Listers, It's been a while since I've posted my "wants". Does anyone have any ELLIOTTS living in the coal fields of Pennsylvania during the period 1830-1920? Place names like Summit Hill, No. 5, No. 6, Lansford, and Mauch Chunk will make sense if yours and mine are related. This was a rather large family ... but they "disappeared". Thanks, Joe Nihen Pennsylvania
Looks like you and I have the same Elliott family branch.
