Surnames: Elliott, Elliot Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JhU.2ACEB/2997.2993.3000.1 Message Board Post: I am trying to locate any information on William H Elliot who was born 14 Feb 1834 somewhere in NY state. He married Lucinda Brewster Card in 1858 or 1860. Lucinda was born 27 Mar 1833 in Corinth, NY. They then moved to Wisconsin where they had 5 children, including my ggrandfather, William Henry Elliot. I have been unable to trace William H Elliot at all. Is he and his parents among your Elliott's? Thank you.

Sarah ELLETT b. ca1792 d. 1834 Morgan Co.IN....they were said to have been first cousins. They were m. 21 Oct 1813 Fleming Co.KY. Sarah ELLETT is the d/o Edward ELLETT Sr. b. 1760-65 d. bef sept 1833 Monroe Col.IN. and Eleanor Unknown b. ca1770 d. aft Dec 1834 Monroe Co.IN...Edward ELLETT Sr. is the one that Ellettsville, IN is named after....they first came to IN from Fleming Co.KY, before that time I have no clue as to where the family was from. Daniel is speculated to be the son of Thomas ELLETT bro to Edward....If anyone has any history on this family line , finding the parentage of these two brothers I would be very interested in hearing from you. Have much info on Daniel ELLETT and Sarah and their children I would be happy to share with other. Also info on Edward Sr. from the book the Leaves of the Ellett/Elliott Family Tree. Family legend says that Edward's father was a Rev. War solider, a Mason, and a hatter by trade. Edward and Thomas are listed in Mason Co.KY....then they are found again in 1798 in Fleming Co.KY, which was cut out of Mason Co.KY.....Looking forward to finding out more on this ELLETT/ELLIOTT line. Not a chance. To those who don't know Tim and Roland as long as I have been watching them over the past number of years..do not take seriously this high level playfulness they are presently displaying. They are both about half a step from the level of brilliant..and they offer a great deal of information and dedication to the list for those of us who are not nearly as advanced in our research. Long periods of time sometimes pass between finding anything significant to further our progress in individual Elliott lines as we all try to sort them out, get all the ducks in a row, etc. During those times it can get a tad frustrating, and this so called "bickering" comes into play, but it is truly no more than a high level of cranial white matter teasing and testing..these people are truly good people despite what their comments may depict to those not familiar with their personality traits and methods of discussion. The reward will be that someday these two and others will find their lines connecting and that they are directly related. :) Meanwhile, enjoy the ride, enjoy the list and all who follow and participate for years on end. Keep up the good work. Sunny
