She married my great grandfather, William Makepeace, on Jan 20, 1860, in Missouri. I would love to know anything about her family, including her father and mother's names.

Am stuck and desperate for any info.
Reposting my info. My great grandfather was Robert Thomas (RT) Elliott, born in North Carolina. I think he was born Jan 30, 1828 in Montgomery Co. (central NC about 60 mi. NE of Charlotte) near the town of Troy. His wife was Mary Ann Rowlett. His siblings were probably Stephan S, Mary, Samuel S, Alexander, Dave ?, Marion, possibly others (all born in NC) and Benjamin Elliott born in Tenn. His mother was Francis (or Frances) Elliott born in NC (maidem name Frasier). Her husband, my gg-gf Elliott whose given name I do not know, was apparently killed in a duel with his brother in early 1830s when they were living in SW No. Carolina, possibly near Saluda (Hendersonville area) in Henderson Co. (SE of Asheville). My first firm information was in the 1860 census when RT, his mother, brother - Samuel S. and others were in NW Tenn., City of Dresden, in Weakly Co. By the 1880 census RT Elliott was in Blue Grove (Clay Co.) Texas (North East Tx - North of Fort Worth) with his family and he died there in 1907. Do you know anything about this branch of Elliotts ?? I am 72, retired and live in Dallas, Tx. Thanks - Dick Elliott eMail - DickStocks@aol.com

Peter Elliott was in Carcushooke (Darby area of Delaware County, PA) in 1636....He was christened a Quaker in 1663 and died in 1687...also his son John Elliott was married in PA in 1689. Let me see...it goes: Peter Elliott - circa 1636 (Pennsylvania, America) John Elliott - died: 1734 (Pennsylvania) Enoch Elliott - died 10 Jan 1767 (Pennsylvania) Christopher Elliott born 1741 (Darby-Kingsess, Philadelphia) Israel Elliott - born 1763/64 (Kingsess, Philadelphia County, PA) Israel S. Elliott - born 1791 (Kingsess, Delaware County, PA) and so on and so on.... And let's not forget John Elliott of the 1620's who was an apostle to the Indians and translated the Bible into their language. Sure the Elliott's had various spellings on their names on the records but on the wills of the above individuals, they say Elliott. The Elliott's have been in America for a long long time, long before the English colonized it.

Many think my William Elliott who settled in Rutherford County, NC is a son, however there seems to be some confusion about this. Archibald's son William appears on church records and on land records in Fishing Creek at the same time my William Elliott is on records in Rutherford County, NC. It appears my William Elliott who married Linda (some say her maiden name was Middleton, but I find no proof of this either) was not Archibald's son.
Robbintina, My Plantz first settled in Montgomery Co, NY in the 1750. Some of the later generations are found in IL and CA (not my direct lines). The others in CO were. The general line is Johannis, Peter, Michael,Philip, and Timothy Parker. There could have been a couple of Peter's, Michael's, and Philip's brothers who went into OH. I've not checked that out.
