I don't have much information about James Edward Elliott other than he was born in Oklahoma about 1912 or 1913 and was one of 25 children. He was part Cherokee. He married Margaret A. Merrill and they lived in California and had one son. He left when the son very small (5 or 6) and that's the last they heard from him. He used to drive truck and play Country/Western music in bars. If this information sounds familar please let me know. Sharon

    3. On a recent trip to Wisconsin I got a little additional birth information on my great grandfather Joseph L. Elliott on his marriage and death records. Father: J. A. Elliott (according to marriage record) from Scotland (according to census data). Mother: Armella Garbaier (name gathered from marriage record of Joseph Elliott and difficult to read so unsure of exact name) from Canada mother tongue was French (according to census data). According to census data he immigrated to the US in 1880. Declared intent to naturalize in Ashland County, Wisconsin on 5 Mar 1888. Was naturalized in Taylor County, Wisconsin on 8 Nov 1894. She married a Williams man, and Della married a Douglas, having a little girl named Lillian Douglas. If anyone can help? I believe Arthur died... -Mary, Chicago
