Have you checked Blount County Alabama records. Margaret Parr Elliott sounds very familiar. I researched a Margaret (Merican) Elliott in that area, and I think I saw records for a Margaret Parr Elliott. Good Luck Anita

Doing research on my Elliott Family at the Westchester County Historical Society, I found references to an Elliott Cemetery located on West Cherry Street, Katonah, NY. Further research indicates this was one of the cemeteries that was moved when the Croton Reservoir was created to provide drinking water for New York City. The new location is the Union Cemetery, in Bedford, New York. The individuals moved were: Lewis Elliott, Died June 3, 1847, his wife Ester Died Dec 17, 1854, nee Honeywell There is also a mention that a Mrs Abigail Reynolds (Elliott) arranged to have her Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother, Lewis and Nettie Elliott relocated as well. However, there isn't any further information on either. It is further indicated that Lizzie Reynolds, perhaps Abigail's sister, had these Elliotts moved as well: William Elliott, Rebecca Elliott perhaps his wife, and another William Elliott, perhaps their son. No further info. Are these individuals recognized by anyone?
My Irish Elliotts were from Cullion/Drumawark near Pettigo, which is in both County Donegal and County Fermanagh. According to the 1850 census, he was living at Pinegrove, Venango Co. with father George and mother Mary. I'm not absolutely certain that this Richard is mine but (strongly) think so. In the 1860 census, the two men show up again in Orange, Knox Co., IL. In the 1840 census in Cornplanter Twp., Venango Co. there are five Elliott families. I feel he is in there somewhere. There is no enumeration date for the 1840 census but Richard probably wasn't born yet. I have him born in Sept. 1840. So far I have not found them in an 1870 census.
