Does anyone know if in 1923 Hamilton, Ontario, Wentworth Co. if there would be a death notice in the local news paper? I am hoping, that there would be more information, on William Elliott or members of his family. He died Dec 15th 1923 and is buried some where in a cemetery in Hamilton, Ontario. The only info I have been able to find for Maggie Elliott is the 1911 census, I keep hoping that someone knows a bit more on this girl. I don't have a clue as to where she is buried, because she likely married, and may have been interred in her married name. I have checked out the OCFA but no death dates are given. Mr. Palmer conjectured that the oldest son was John Elliott, b 1776 in Welsh Run (and frequently listed as Benjamin's son). Some care is needed as there is a John Elliott (b. 1776) to William Elliott, Esq. of Path Valley, PA and this is a different John. Any help with references would be appreciated. PA in 1750-1792, probably listed as Welsh Run, PA. I have the Palmer Papers file on the Elliotts and Mr. Palmer listed George as the brother to Benjamin Rogers and stepbrother to James Barnett. He has in his notes that George probably had two grown children who were away from home in 1803 when he died and left the minor children as orphans. I am interested in the names of the two oldest children who were out of the household by 1800 but were counted in the 1790 Census.
