Hi, It appears that the soldier named Edyngdone was most likely of the London family recorded variously between 1337 and 1401, and of no known Elkington connection. The more ususal variant of the early name in Northamptonshire was Eltingdon/Eltington and I can find no plain soldier of this name in the database. Don
