Hi, I have the Will of John Elkington born 1635 at Brandon in Warwickshire and dying in 1690 in Stretton-on-Dunsmore. I am having a little problem with my eyes at the moment and am mostly unable to decipher the writing. Could anyone offer their services to translate this will for me.If anyone can do this would they give permission for it to be published on the Website. Looking forward to hearing from someone. Regards JUDY ELKINGTON _www.elkingtonfamily.com_ (http://www.elkingtonfamily.com/)
Hello Judy, What a trusting Lady you are! I could say that he left it all to his 9th cousin twice removed - only to female Elkingtons called Caroline... but we Elks are obviously an honest Gang with the greatest integrity of course, so I shall have a go. These male Elkingtons seemed to have a lots of children - I suspect youre right Judy, in that my great great grandad was married about three times hence the confusing whos related to who. Im having a little more success on my Grandam Elkington (nee Dobson) side of the family and manged to find lots of 3rd (Dobson) cousins around Sutton Coldfield/ Solihull and Brum - and of course they are all Aston Villa supporters, what else! My eyesight isnt perfect Judy but I shall have a go. Hope you are keeping well, talk soon.
