For John Elkington (1832 to 1912), son of Francis, User * jamescooperostler * (Kingston, Ontario, Canada) on his family tree at http://trees.ancestry.ca/tree/444664/person/310082144 at Ancestry.ca, under Arrival, states: 1866 Quebec City, Quebec after a departure from Liverpool England. Vessel was the Memphis. Roll C4529. both Clara and John Elkington travelled together. Judy The only Elkington immigration record I can find in the period you mention is Charles Elkington and his wife who appear in the Kingston Ontario Immigration Agent's list on 7 April 1862: they are said to be headed for Frontenac Road and "healthy and responsible; bought land/settled in Clarendon; capital $250; settler". We might be able to help more if you let the dog see the rabbit and summarise what you do know about his family in Canada - names, dates, places - all the things you would expect enquirers to provide.
