Hello Judy, I don't have him as "John Webb Elkington" I have a John born 1772 Stretton on Dunsmore [not a likely candidate - has a large family] and another born 1780 in bath [no details for him]. It would need to be a john born perhaps 1750 + [?]. Where was he arrested and tried? Have a look at the link below Hope all is well. Take care.
