The only English Elkingtons in it are George's parents and a few early relatives. George 1650-1713 an d a Quaker, travelled to America on the "Kent" 1677. On arrivbal he was bound over for four years to work as a Blacksmith. He was then granted 100 acres of land. He settled in Burlington New Jersey. Arthur Adams was a reputable genealogist and his fact are correct. I think the other book is all American Genealogy. So do beware of the difference.
