Hi, Can any of you claim this one. He was born in the June Qtr. oF 1883. in Sandford St Martyn in Oxfordshire. He is shown in 1891, 1901 and 1911 censuses living with his Aunt and Uncle Smith. Oxfordshire FHS www.ofhs.org.uk has transcribed the Sandford St Martin baptisms for that period. The relevant entry from that transcript is: 25 March, 1883 Algernon John s John Henry ALLITT, farmer, Sandford, and Sarah Ann ELKINGTON. A later child of the same parents, Francis James Thornett, was baptised 5 Oct 1884, and an earlier, Winifred Mary Wilson, on 14 Aug, 1881. Wendy
