My Aldridges go back to my GGGfather, Samuel. (All these are ALDRIDGE, no other variations that I know of yet). Samuel was born in 1814 in Gloucester married Ann Veale (b 1819). He later mrried Eliza Jennings (b abt 1831 in Bristol) He died some time after the 1881 census, when he was 67, still in Gloucester. His children (with Ann V I believe) were: Sarah Augusta Veale Aldridge - my GGGmother) 1840 - 1927 George Aldridge b 1844 Ralph Aldridge b abt 1849, d after 1909 Albert Aldridge b 1851 Other Aldridge Information ====================== I have recently acquired a 'stray' entry of the burial of Mrs Ann Aldridge, widow at the church of St George the Martyr, Preston, Lancashire on 28th July 1770, aged 55. The ship was Thomas Bonaventure, 140 tons with a crew of 70. Thanks for your interest, and I hope some of this can help someone., Colin G.
