Good Morning, Over the past several years I have worked on several projects for the ELDRED/ELDREDGE/ELDRIDGE families. In the Eldridge-L archives I have posted the complete census index for the United States, DAR, Revolutionary War, Civil War, Indian Wars, Marriages, Mayflower Index, Immigrants, Tidbits, etc. I am now working on the SSDI project, which is truly fascinating. What I am doing, is taking the Social Security Death Index (rootsweb.com) and printing it out and sorting it by 1) Issued, and 2) Last Residence. From there, I am typing it and sorting it by County of Last Residence for each state. To get each name on a line, I have not included the Social Security Number. It will include - Last Name, First Name, Birth, Death, (Last Residence), and Issued. I think this puts an umbrella on the Eldred/Eldredge/Eldridge/Eledge/Elledge research for us. I am also hoping that this project will help me to find the descendants of the Eldridge family that I am working on and try to find where they have gone to. I have been working on this for a couple of months and I will start with our favorite state - Massachusetts. Donna
