I did a search in the Eldridge-L archives for "Fred Eldred" and found in 1998 I did a posting for: "The Roster of Union Soldiers 1861-1865" Fred H. Eldred, 121st Inf. Co. B. - New York Also: "Index to Pension Applications for Indian Wars Service Between 1817 and 1898" Eldred, Holden R., widow Anna T., WA-14453 & WC-11147 filed 9 Apr 1919 in CA, also see #XC-2660248, he srv in 1864 as 2nd Lt in Tyler's Rangers in CO Cav, he died 24 Jan 1911 in Ponaza, OR, also see claim IC-1033229 for James J. Tarpley who had srv in Co F of 7th IL Cav. I saw where you thought that Fred Eldred might have been born in Minnesota? In the archives for the census for Minnesota, I saw where there is a S. Luyler Eldred on the 1870 census (BROW 952 EDEN TWP). I wonder if this might be another Schuyler Eldred. I hope that some of this might help in your research. Donna
