Hopefully, will be going back to the library next week. I'll take a look for your Charles Stewart in these volumes for San Francisco. I didn't think that you would mind if I forwarded to the list. The reason being that your reference to "Job Jefferson Eldridge" really caught my interest. Have I seen a posting that you have done for him? #1 There are several of us looking for a Sea Capt. Eldredge/Eldridge (probably from around MD/PA/NJ ~ 1790). We have a descendant (probably of his) named "James Jefferson Eldridge". #2 I am also working on some Kentucky research - I have a list for (2) Job Eldridge's in Nelson County, Kentucky in 1789. There is a Job Eldridge and a Samuel Eldridge on a tax list for Nelson County, Kentucky 1792 and then they seem to disappear. Where did they go? Yea, I am still typing the list for San Francisco, California (they are interesting) ....never again will I complain about a 2 hour lay-over!! Hope you had a great Xmas and safe New Year. These Passenger Lists that you are posting are marvelous. Am searching them for my ancestor, Charles Stewart, father of Catherine Stewart who married Job Jefferson Eldridge. Family legend says that he went to the gold fields in Calif. and made a fortune which he brought back to NJ. Since he was a sea captain out of Philadelphia I'm assuming that he sailed to San Fran. The family still has several items that he brought back with from Calif. So keep posting and I'll keep searching Your cousin in Ca. - Karen Henry --part1_25.f96a6e1.27890d66_boundary--

    3. Hi Donna - Thanks for keeping an eye out for Charles Stewart. Job Jefferson Eldridge was my greatgrandfather. I don't have any posting on him. He was a son of Job Duble Eldridge.
