Donna, Thank you for the accounts from the Boggan Store in Georgiana, AL. I have been trying to find Osborn Fail after he disappeared from Butler Co., AL. Your information tells me he was in Jasper Co., MS. Do you mind if I post this message on the Monroe Co., AL board?? I think it would be helpful to a lot of folks. Osborn Fail was married to one of William ELDRIDGE Riley's cousins. The Rileys came to Butler and Monroe County from Edgefield, SC, around 1818/20. I have not been able to find a link between Eldridge and Riley. We think the Rileys came to SC and NC from MD. We believe they are descendants of Hugh Riley of Prince Georges County, MD. The name Eldridge (Elored, Eldred) is used in several of the Riley lines as a middle name. Wm Eldridge Riley came to Kemper Co, MS, around 1846 and married a Turner. One of their daughters married a Gill. One of the Gill daughters married George Alexander Eldridge, a grandson of Jonathan Jackson Eldridge from Anson Co., NC. For years, we thought there was a relationship through the Eldridge Line. Thanks again, Peggy
