--------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Michdusty@juno.com To: Elmershagnasty@Aol.com Date: Wed, 3 Jan 2001 19:11:16 -0800 Subject: Obediah Eldridge Message-ID: <20010103.192650.-282191.7.Michdusty@juno.com> X-Mailer: Juno 4.0.11 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Warren, I have been studying the information you sent me on Obediah Eldridge who married Martha Redden and Elizabeth Winchester. I have not ruled out that Obediah's 1st born son is John Louis Eldridge who was born in KY. and moved to MO. His parents are from North Carolina. Year of Birth Sept. 1824 died in 1908 in Iron/Wayne Co., MO. If the census was taking before Sept. 1830 census John would have been 5yrs old. Question: Does the 1830 census say 0-5 or under 5? Also, on the 1840 census John would have been 15yrs old if census was taking before Sept. Furthermore, I was told by someone chasing this family line that he believed that Obediah was married to a Martha Redden and that John had a brother named Wesley Eldridge and one named William and sister Elizabeth and he believed they came from Calloway Co, KY. He said that both Wesley and John married sisters the Nicholes in KY. moved to MO. and Wesley moved back to KY and worked on the Ohio river running a Fairy. This information was given to me after considering your Obediah could be father to my John. Not sure yet but I will defiantly be trying to prove or disapprove the theory. If you have any information to disprove my John as child of your Obediah please let me know. I remain, Michelle ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Join Juno today!
