Kidd/ELAM Researchers: I have done so much to find this man, and then when I thought I had, his last name was spelled wrong on the internet, and the person who submitted the name I am unable to contact to have it changed. I have lost him in my search, seems he just disappeared, and I wonder if maybe the spelling of his name could be a factor? My 3rd great grandfather: Dillingham(Hamm) H. Kidd was born @ 1829 in Scott Co., VA and married 1)Francina (sina) Elam Oct. 27, 1852 in Morgan Co., KY. Francina was born @ 1828 in Scott Co., VA and died @ 1858 in Morgan Co., KY. It is believed that Francina was the daughter of Gilbert Elam b.@ 1796 and Catharine Cooley b.@ 1799. Together Francina and Dillingham had three children. NANCY b.@ 1851 and died Oct. 15, 1857 in Morgan Co., KY; SAMUEL b.@ 1855 KY died Feb. 29, 1924 Rowan Co., KY and was buried Mar. 2, 1924 in Pervis Cemetary, KY from his death cert. it states he died from 'Reported consumption of the bowels with out a physician'; LEE ANDREW (leander?) b.@1857 Rowan Co., KY, died Sept 29, 1933 in Rowan Co., KY buried Sept. 30, 1933 in Pervis Cemetary, KY. his cert. of death states he died of 'leakage of the heart 76 years old, no doctor'. Mar. 26, 1912 p.d. ? he married RUTHA BROOKS; second child of Hamm and Caroline is Mary Elizabeth died@ 1935 and is buried Pigsmah cemetary Rt. 32 N. Rowan Co., KY. she married George Pence. I realize this is probably a long shot, but can someone point to a greener pasture. Dillingham has simply disappeared.
