Does anyone know anything about the Elam cemetery in Nashville, TN? I just got information that Francis Vannerson (d. 1 March 1864) was buried there. He married Elizabeth Elam (b. 1812, Rutherford Co., TN) ) in 1832 in Rutherford Co., TN. I believe she was the daughter of Daniel and Jane Elam. She lived with her brother Henry Elam in Nashville for a time and then, when her two sons who survived the war returned home, moved with them to Calvert City, KY, where she died in 1884. Francis and Elizabeth Elam Vannerson had three sons who fought for the Confederacy and the youngest, Francis Theodore, died in the war. He was born in 1844 and I have his date of death as 1 March 1864, the same as his father's -- ???. It could well be that he's also buried in the Elam cemetery so I hope some of you Elam cousins have information about this burying ground. Kate Lykins
