I just know that he was the ancestor of my Elizabeth ELAM, d/of Edward ELAM Jr. & Matha SMITH who married Thomas ELAM, son of Alexander ELAM and Jane NORMENT. I would NOT even begin to be an authority. I am just another library volunteer searching for her ancestors. I would not argue with anyone about their right to an opinion. I have no idea if my handed down information on Edward ELAM Sr.'s birth etc. is partially correct or not.
