    3. Cassie About 20 or so years ago I read about one Lars Elam in Sweden - Stockholm' I believe - in the newspaper. The story was that Lars was in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. The ambulance driver was stricken by a heart attack, where-upon Lars placed him in the back and drove the both of them to the hospital. Sounds like one of "our" Elams to me. There are indeed Elams scattered about the globe. One of the most interesting "sightings" was in a certain mountainous region of Iran. Oddly enough many inhabitants of the region appear somewhat Caucasiod with rather light complexions and even occasionally red hair. I have surmised for years as to whether this might any derivation from the ancient, Biblical land of Elam, which occupied part of modern day Iraq and Iran. Happy hunting..............Roger Elam >From: Cassie Elam <celam@pdq.net> >Reply-To: ELAM-ROOTS-L@rootsweb.com >To: ELAM-ROOTS-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: [ELAM-ROOTS-L] WHAT LANGUAGE IS THIS? >Date: Sat, 03 Jul 1999 08:47:26 -0500 > >It's Swedish, but I don't know what it says.
