I am trying to find my great great grandmother Alice Elam born in Talladega Ala. married to John Hanes from Ga. I can neither find her birth or marriage in any info I have traced. She had 2 children Mimm and Rena Hanes and died before 1880 because in 1880 John had remarried and had a different wife and 2 other children. John had a sister named Mattie (Matilda??) and mother Frances. They are in the 1880 census in Ellis Co Texas as are Rena Mimm and John. Any help will be appreciated. This is the brick wall for me.
