We feel, but have not proven the relationship, that several ELAM brothers lived in Warren County, TN during the early to mid 1800s; Lemuel, Reuben, James H, John, and Jonathan. During a recent visit to Warren County I found an 1821 document...Deed Book D, Pages 170 -171....whereby Jonathan ELAM gave a Power of Attorney to William G. GUINN. Jonathan listed his place of residence as, what appears to be, Lawrence County, Alabama in this document. Is this your Jonathan?
