Hi, Does anyone have any information on a J.D. Elam and/or his family who apparently was elected to the Virginia State Senate from Mecklenburg county in 1908 and 1910? All I have is from the book, Life by the Roaring Roanoke by Susan L. Bracey (page 444). My Elam roots seems to be in Mecklenburg county so I was wondering if this may be an ancestor.
