Does anyone know of an Elam family that lived in or around the Edgefield Co., SC area around the early 1800s? I have a Harriett Merchant who married John Ealum in SC. I can trace the Merchant line back to Edgefield, so I am assuming that is where they were married. Any help is appreciated! Tonia Porter
