Alice ELAM was born March 16, 1855 and died May 10, 1912. She married Dock Franklin NEW about 1877 in Carroll Co. GA. He was born Feb. 14, 1852 and died Dec. 23, 1933. I believe they lived in Carrollton, Carroll Co. GA all their married lives. My ancestor, John ELAM, lived in Carrollton GA from 1850 or so until he died. He had a daughter named Josephine Alice who was born ca 1856 and was always called Alice on the records I've seen. This Alice's brother was Wiley Cumbia ELAM, my gr.gr. grandfather. I think that "my" Josephine Alice was the same woman who married Dock NEW. Can anyone help me confirm this? Vickie Elam White
