Margie I don't have much on Nathanial Egner. here is some information I have gathered from some of the books I have pulled out of the moth balls from the attic. 1824 No listings 1825 Calloway Co KY Tax list Peter Agnor over 21, 4 horses 1826 No listings anywhere 1827 No listings anywhere 1828 Calloway Co KY tax list Peter Agnor over 21, (4) horses 1829 No listings 1830 Todd Co KY Census Pg. 363 Sarah Eggner males (1) 0-5 (1) 5-10 (1) 15-20 (1) 20-30 Females (1) 0-5 (1) 10-15 (1) 20-30 (1) 50-60 1831 Graves Co., KY Tax Peter Agnor (4) horses 1833 Graves Co., KY Tax Peter Egner (3) horses 1833 Graves Co., KY Tax Jesse Egner (0) horses 1833 Graves Co., KY Tax Nathan Egner (4) horses August 6, 1836 A Henry M Egner of Todd Co., KY sold for $1? (1) black horse, (1) Mare and colt, oven, wagon saddle and bureau. Looks like it had something to do with a loan security for some land? it also included a Negro as security. Could this be the husband of Sarah Egner below when she sold land in 1837? Interesting. April 28, 1837 In Todd Co. KY I found where Sarah Eggnor was the grantor of a deed to a John Kendall. she also sold (4) head of cattle. feather bed and furniture, 1/2 dozen bottom chairs, 93) wheels and all household and kitchen furniture. sounds like she fixin to move to me. The copies of these documents are poor and have yellowed over the past 10 years. I wasn't able to determine the relationship to this Sarah when I found this so I just copied and saved it. Does this mean anything to anyone else? 1840 Graves Co., KY census Elizabeth Agnor Males (1) 5-10 (1) 10-15 (1) 15-20 Female (1) 50-60 Nathan Agnor Males (2) 0-5 (1) 15-20 (1) 20-30 (1) 30-40 Females (1) 0-5 (1) 5-10 (1) 30-40 I found Nathan Agners marriage license 294 to Nancy Carpenter 2-9-1831 John Carpenter is Nancy's father. In Calloway Co., KY. N.A. Eggner married Stephen A. Whale 1 Aug 1886 (N.A. was Nanny Berkley married to Lyman Eggner in Marshall Co., KY. Nancy Egner married Harris Alcock 3-12-1845 lic 1237 Calloway Co., KY. (Nancy was a widow don't know who) Also as far as Augustus Elsworth Egner he was my granduncle, the brother of my grandfather Charles Edgar Egner. Nimmo and I share the same great-grandfather Daniel Boone Egner. I haven't been able to name any documented connections past Levi. I think possibly Peter Egner was Levi's father but I have never found any documentation to support it. I sure would like to hear about any supporting evidence or point me in the right direction. Margie you said a Joseph H and Benjamin Franklin moved to AR. Who were their father and mother? You also said Nathan's brother was Milton could you tell me where that info came from? I sure would like to make the link to some of these Egners in Whitney Co., KY, PA and MD etc. Maybe together we can find these links if someone hasn't already found them. By the way did anyone know there was another Egner/Eygner Family Association? In 1987 the person running it was R.S.Schwartz at Lake Valhalla, Cold Springs, NY 10516 914-265-2373. I unable able to do much genealogy at the time and I didn't join. Not sure if she is still there or if the assoc. is still in existence. Seems like I only get do this on weekends since starting 12 hour days. I hope there is some information in all this that is helpful. I imagine Celia has most of this already and has probably shared it already. Evelyn: I know so little of my greatgreat grandparents. Had it not have been for Nimmo I would know even less. This is what I know. My grandfather Nathanial Egner was born in North Caroline in 1811/1812 died about 1846/47 in Graves County Ky. Married 2 Feb 1831 Calloway Co KY to Nancy Carpenter. He had a brother named Milton which is the great of Cecile Hartman (I believe). Marshall was formed out of Calloway in 1842. The Egners came from Rowan County, N.C. to Kentucky in 1818. There was a Peter. Joseph H and Benjamin Franklin moved to Desha County, Arkansas. My greatgrandmama lived and died in Clinton, Arkansas (Van Buren County) around 1866 after her last daughter, Exie Sophronia was born. Daniel Boone Egner (grandpa to Phillip Dean Egner and Nimmo) was born 25 Oct 1848 McCracken Co. Ky. (I think their dad's dad must have been the brother of Nathanial.) Augustus Elsworth Egner born Feb 6, 1881 Marshall County was Phillip Dean and Nimmo's grandpa and his brother was Benjamin Franklin Egner born 12 Oct 1877 in Marshall County, Ky. Now my grandmother was related to Nimmo and Phillip Dean as cousins. I figure she was a third-fourth cousin (just a guess because of the year's born). My grandmother was Elizabeth Ann Egner born in 1834. Her Father and Mother were Nathanial and Nancy Carpenter Egner. Are these Egners kin to Whitley County, Egners. I bet they are? Nimmo, Dean, do you know? Margie Fenley Hartman. I hope I have this straight. I am not sure who the papa in NC was; I believe it was Peter.
