Mrs. Agner died at 10 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 1999, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa. She was born Dec. 21, 1937, in West Leipsic to Ralph and Helen (Dillinger) Claybaugh. She married Robert Agner, and he survives in Leipsic. Also surviving are four sons, Randy of Leipsic, Richard of Wilshire, Robert of Columbus Grove, Roger of West Leipsic; a daughter, Mrs. Mark (Jane) Garberson, Columbus Grove; six grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Claybaugh, Leipsic, Fred Claybaugh, Trenton, Mich.; and two sisters, Sandi Claybaugh, Leipsic, Mrs. Harlan (Janet) DeHart, McComb. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Lynn Agner. Mrs. Agner was a homemaker. She was born on May 1, 1911, in Glandorf to Bernard and Lavina (Roof) Michel. She married Clyde L. Agner on Dec. 4, 1954, and he died Jan. 30, 1978. Surviving are a sister, Margaret Crawford, Ottawa; and a brother, Norbert of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Knepper; and a brother, Arthur. Mrs. Agner was retired from Egry in Leipsic. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, and the church's Altar Rosary Society. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Rev. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She married Charles Melvin Smith on March 16, 1933, and he died July 1, 1981. She later married George Agner on Nov. 13, 1982, and he died May 23, 1994. Surviving are a son, Melvin "Bud" Smith, Pandora; a daughter, Mary Jo Woodward, Garden Grove, Calif.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ann Scofield, Lambertville, Mich.; and Mary Niemire, Ottawa. She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph, Robert, George and John Fawcett. Mrs. Smith-Agner retired from Ottawa-Glandorf High School. She also worked at the Putnam County Library. She was a past matron of the OES and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ottawa and the Ottawa Book Club. She and her husband, Charles Smith, were charter members of the Ottawa Dance Club. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, where a parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Mr. Fisher died at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, May 16, 1999 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born May 27, 1929 in Fostoria to Ralph D. and Gladys (Agner) Fisher. He married Ava Kathleen Patterson on Nov. 27, 1966, and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Lora L. Fisher, Lima; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Bob (Linda L.) Corbin, Bradenton, Fla.; Mrs. Jim (Jawn K.) Hale, Lima; two stepsons, Joe Rizor, Lima; Roy Rizor Jr., Harrod; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson, David D. Rizor; a grandson; two brothers, John and Eldon; and a sister, Mariam Fisher. An ombudsman and chief of special police, Mr. Fisher retired in 1981 from the Lima State Hospital. He formerly worked six years for the Findlay Police Department. He was a Korean War veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the DAV and a former member of Enon Valley Church, Findlay. He was born Sept. 24, 1920, in Hancock County to Arthur Thomas and Faye (Guisinger) Agner. Surviving are four sons, Kenneth of Findlay, Wayne, address unknown, Glenn of McComb, Denney of Ottawa; a daughter, Mrs. Sherwood (Sidney) Williams, Green Bay, Wisc.; 11 grandchildren; 15 grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Hosafros, Findlay. He was preceded in death by a grandchild; and a brother, Dale. >From 1948-72, Mr. Agner owned Agner's Body Shop in McComb. He was a photographer and film developer for sporting events at area schools from 1950 to the 1970s. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He served one term as a McComb Village Council member and was a member of the McComb Volunteer Fire Department. He was a 1939 graduate of Findlay High School.
