    1. [[EGNER]] Message from the New List Owner
    2. Celia, Ritch, & Beth
    3. Hello Listers! I'm happy to announce that I am the new owner of our list. My name is Celia Hartmann and most of you know me already. I'm sure our list will never be a real active one--there just doesn't seem to be too many with the name! Many years ago, some "professional" told my Dad that if he ever found anyone with the Egnor name that they were related in someway because the name is so uncommon. Well, since starting this obsession called genealogy, I know that's not quite true. But I'll claim you all as cousins anyway--no matter which line you are researching! We know for sure there were three immigrant ancestors from the 1700s, seemingly unrelated. There may have been at least two more in the 1700s and several lines in the 1800s. Being listowner, I get the priviledge of knowing who's on the list and who isn't (he he he, I feel like a spy). I'm happy to say there are 20 of us subscribed to the list. I only see two addresses I'm not familiar with.......so now I'm curious, who are you researching? Don't want to put you on the spot or give out your addresses, but why don't you drop a line to the list introducing yourselves and tell us what names, places, and timeperiods you are researching? Perhaps you already have a cousin on the list! That goes for those of you that haven't already done so, even those of you I'm in touch with about everyday. All messages are archived on Rootsweb, so anyone doing a search for a name might just stumble across yours and you may find a new cousin! The next thing I'd like to say is that I will soon have a page on my website dedicated to all known researchers of the name and it's variants. I'd like to include each and everyone of you as a contact for your specific ancestor or your ancestor's state/county. A sample would be (only our names would be a hyperlink to our email address): Rowan County, North Carolina Celia L. Hartmann: Researching the Johannes Aegender family Ohio Celia L. Hartmann: Researching Putnam County (descendents of George Agner) and Hocking County (descendents of Martin Agner). Lincoln County, West Virginia Celia L. Hartmann: Researching all Egnors of Lincoln County. Right now, I've taken the liberty of adding every researcher I know and have listed their area(s) of research. If you do NOT wish to be included please let me know. When my page is ready for public view, I will post the url to the list so you all can check it out. Well, I've rattled on long enough. I hope through our list and any help we can give each other, that all our walls will come down. We may be a small list, but together we can do big things. ---Celia L. Hartmann Gen_Searchin@yahoo.com
