Allan and other new subscribers: Welcome! Allan, I wish I could help with your Rachel. She has been a big mystery for years! Most researchers have given up on ever finding her ancestors. I know of one other researcher (Rick Thomas) still trying and he's always on the look out for something to tie her into a line, but he's not a subscriber to the list. He's also looking for the Jacob Eigner who supposedly came to Philadelphia in 1753 that I found on my FTM's Passenger & Immigration index, thinking perhaps that's her father. She doesn't seem to fit Johan Mathias Egner or Johannes Aegender (later Agner, though my line became Egnor). She eventually settled just across from my Ludwig Aegender line, who settled in Washington Co, MD. Incidentally, my Ludwig married a Christina Mahn--so don't know if there is a connection there. May I add you to my Egnor/Agnor links page as a researcher of Rachel? I'm trying to keep a list of known researchers of the name (or a variant). My contact site is: http://members.xoom.com/rchartmann/egnor-contacts.html Hopefully other researchers will join the list and we can sort some of these lines out. Good luck! --Celia :o) ----- Original Message ----- From: Allan Griffith <magriff@davesworld.net> To: <EGNER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 15, 1999 10:28 PM Subject: [A/EGNER] My Egnor / Egner roots > I'd be interested in comparing notes and hopefully adding to a mutual > database of information on my ancestor Rachel EGNOR (I've always seen it > spelled with an "O" instead of an "E").
