    1. RE: [EGNER] Smathers line of NC
    2. CELIA A. LEHMANN
    3. Celia, I think the Mary Agner m. to John Smathers is the daughter of John Aginder/Aegner, son of Henry Aginder, Sr. John also had a daughter, Catherine Agner m. Jacob Swink. They were named in the will of Henry, Sr because John was already deceased. In 'Family Tree Maker's Family Archives World Family Tree Vol 17, pre-1600 to present' Tree #1618 I find this information: John (Smither) Smathers b. December 17, 1781 in Rowan Co, NC; d. February 10, 1825 in Haywood County, NC; m. Abt. 1803 Mary Agner b. Abt. 1776; d. November 28, 1868 in Haywood County, NC. Parents of John Smathers: William Jr Smitter b. WFT Est. 1730-1759; d. WFT Est. 1782-1822. Parents of Mary Agner: John Agendar b. WFT Est. 1725-1754; d. WFT Est. 1777-1817; m. Unknown WFT Est. 1749-1796. List the five children the same as on the internet site. Can give more information on them. I think this is a match, do you? Please note this is a two part message that I have cut and paste the more pertinent parts. There are a few references to Mary Agner Smathers and to Catherine Rough Agner's parents. ---Celia :o) Source: SMOTHERS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [SMOTHERS] Henry and John SMITHER/SMATHERS/etc. Descendants of William SMITHER and Anna Catharina ______? - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- - 1-William SMITHER (abt 1736-1823) sp: Anna Catharina _____?
