    3. Now I am the one confused - about the location of the Old Egner Cemetery, that is. I know where the cemetery is. It is on the property that originally belonged to Samuel Egner. No Egner has owned it in many years. It is part of what is called Faber and is off Highway 26 to your right as you are going north toward Corbin. The McNeil Corn Creek Road which is between Rockholds and Faber will not get you to the Egner Cemetery. Jacob may be buried in the cemetery. If so, he has no marker, and when my father listed the graves he gave no account of it. Jacob died sometime around 1848. I have a bill of sale of the person estate of Jacob Egner deceased Dec. 29, 1848 to wit. At the end of the list of items sold is the following statement: The foregoing bill of sale is a correct exhibit of the Property and Sale hereof Constituting the Personal Estate of Jacob Egner deceased. Was this day proved in open Court and after being examined and approved of by the Court was ordered to be recorded and this is done accordingly. Given under my hand this 16th day of April 1849. Att. A. Williams clerk. Several items were purchased by Betsy Egner (Jacob's widow Elizabeth Bishop Egner). Also items were purchased by Samuel Egner. This must have been Jacob's father because although Jacob had a son Samuel (called Samuel Junior) he would have been about 13 years old. As Dave noted on the marker, old Samuel Egner lived until 1872. I am getting ready to send a message to the list with the names of the early family. As to Eveline Day, I wish I could remember who she was. All I remember about her was that when I was probably 2 or 3 years old my Grandfather Egner (Andrew Thomas) used to bounce me on his knee and call Eveline Day my "sake-aline" and make me very angry. I was named for Evelyn Underwood Egner (John Egner's wife) who was my great-grandmother.
