Hi, I am new to the list and excited to find out it exists. Here is my story,which takes place in Rockbridge County, VA, and my query: My ggrandmother, Harriet Emma Cummings had my grandfather out of wedlock by an Agnor when she was 18 years old. She eventually married ANOTHER Agnor(Samuel P.) at the age of 26 and had children by him. Family tradition has it that the first rogue was relatively well-to-do and had a horse and buggy of his own. Tradition holds that he had not one, but THREE girls pregnant more or less simultaneously, Harriet Emma being one of them. I would like to know if there are any other similar stories out there that might turn up this gggrandfather of mine. I would also like to know more about the family history of Samuel P.
