Patsy, You were the one that suggested looking at Whitley Co., KY. I did and it started working. I found some connections and several suspects. Recently, I had a lookup done on the 1850 census for Whitley Co., and down loaded the 1860 Census information. What I learned there and a post by Dave, enabled me to make the connection and in the past week I have links all the way back to Johannes Agender. Needless to say I am thrilled. Evelyn Watson was a great help, and bits and pieces from various posts by Celia have helped too. Naturally there are still lots of details that I hope to fill. Perhaps you can clear up some other puzzles for me. In the 1850 Census for Whitley Co. KY, there is an Absalam Egnor (could be Egner) 28 m farmer 100 NC, Matilda 26 f KY, Mary 7 f KY, Jas 5 m KY, Elisabeth 4 f KY, and Rebeca 2 f KY. Is it possible that Absalam is a sibling to Jacob or perhaps a first cousin? Thanks to you all for all the help, Hope I can return the favor somehow. Jim Davis
