William and John Egner were brothers, the sons of Jacob and Elizabeth Bishop Egner. Eleanor and Eveline Underwood were sisters, daughters of Augustavus and Elizabeth (Betty) McFarland Underwood. Jacob Egner was the son of Samuel Egner who was the first Egner to come to Whitley Co., KY. Augustavus (Gusta) and Betty had 16 children. The oldest was Sally b. about 1819 and the youngest Washington A. )Dock) b. about 1850. If you have my father's book on the Underwoods, you will find that he said "I, Edgar M. Egner, was the last Egner born in the old homestead at Faber, KY, the house my great-great-grandfather built. This land was patented by Samuel Egner who was born in German 1793." I am sorry that I have never entered the data from the Underwood book into my genealogy base. I did enter the information my father had separately on the Egners. So if you need information on the Egners in Whitley Co. up to recent times, I probably have it.
